OT: EQ Field Trip to Las Vegas

Hi All…

We are taking a little field trip to go to the Clinton Anderson Walk About Tour in Las Vegas on June 12-13 2010.

The event is being held at the South Point Equestrian Center near the host venue, South Point Hotel/Casino located at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas, NV.

TICKETS COVER BOTH DAYS

Advanced ticket price is just $25.00 (www.downunderhorsemanship.com)

Tickets at the door are $50.00…best to get them in advance.

The workshop runs 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There looks to be an exhibitors/merchants area as well. So you may be able to find some good deals on stuff for your horses (grin)!

For those unfamiliar with this renowned trainer/clinician you can check out his website (given above) or catch his T.V. shows on RFD-TV (check your cable guide for details). Clinton is the only person to have ever won the Road to the Horse competition TWICE (this is a competition where three trainers get an unbroke/rarely handled horse and within three hours have to start them under saddle, ride a series of patterns and then ride a freestyle routine. Pretty awesome to see).  If you web search, Clinton Anderson, Ian Francis or Road to the Horse you can learn more about these great horsemen and a truly inspirational event.

Clinton Anderson’s mentor/instructor and renowned Aussie horseman Ian Francis will also be on hand teaching some of his Advanced Riding and Cow Horse training techniques.

Our plan is to attend both days but you can do just one if you wish. We’re looking into rooms nearby OR you can book a room right at the host venue for $90.00 (Friday/Saturday nights) and $60.00 (Sunday night). You can go to www.southpointcasino.com and use “Clinton Anderson” as your reference code.

We are also looking into cheap flights and can keep interested folks posted.

If you think you might be interested and want to be kept in the loop please drop us a note at dcamville@hughes.net so we won’t clutter up the lists.

Hope to see a few of our West Kingdom equestrian enthusiasts joining us!

Cheers!
